Women’s National Football Association
The National Women’s Football Association (NWFA) was a full-contact American football league for women headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. The league was founded by Catherine Masters in 2000, as the two benchmark teams, the Alabama Renegades and the Nashville Dream played each other six times in exhibition games. The opening season was in 2001 featuring ten teams
Independent Women’s Football League
The Independent Women’s Football League (IWFL) is a full-contact Women’s American football league that was founded in 2000 and began play in 2001. It is one of three 11-on-11 U.S. football leagues for women, along with the Women’s Football Alliance and the United States Women’s Football League, and the oldest of the three. Laurie Frederick is one of the league’s founders and current CEO.

Legends Football League
The Legends Football League (lFL) is a women’s 7-on-7 tackle American football league, with games played in the spring and summer at various arenas and stadiums. The league was founded in 2009 as the Lingerie Football League and was rebranded as the Legends Football League in 2013. The league’s founder and chairman is Mitchell S. Mortaza, and the league’s administrative offices are located in Los Angeles.
